We are a Coast Guard Family and we are currently in beautiful SE Alaska. I am the School Marm around here, and I love my students with unabashed devotion. For the 2011-12 school year I will have two 3rd graders (8 yo boy/girl twins) and my little kindergartener (5 yo dd).
I recently discovered http://www.rubyslippersschool.com/ and was excited to see that she did a weekly blog about their Heart of Dakota adventures. Unfortunately I discovered it just in time to see she will no longer be using HOD (at least at this season of her busy life). Sigh. So, after much consideration and prayer, I have decided to take a stab at blogging our own HOD adventures this year! This will be our 3rd HOD curriculum to try, and we are eager to get started. So come on in and pull up a chair. We're going to be globe-trotting through History without even leaving the table!
